Can we please normalise rescheduling (not cancelling completely!) clients if (or when!) we feel depleted / sore / need a treatment ourselves??..

And leave a little white space in the calendar to make this possible?

And (!) charge enough to still be able to pay the bills & feed the kids when that happens??

No one benefits from a healer who’s got no energy 💕🙏

…Not sure if it's my recent Covid, Mayan horoscope (where I apparently entered a slower season), studying Human Design and starting to align a bit more with my type's optimal strategies, finally releasing the need to prove shit to myself and others, or simply being TIRED after 2.5 years of building a business while working full time -

but I feel like my ambition has died 🤣🤣🤣 (or gone to sleep, at least).

I've never enjoyed chilling with a book, cooking or hanging out with friends as much as I did in the last few weeks. I've been reading freaking NOVELS again. Doing ARTY THINGS for the first time in YEARS. And went to more parties in October than I did since 2020 😅

Biggest of all... I started leaving some WHITE SPACE in my calendar. Full days off. No massages. No plans. LUXURY. 🤯

It feels a little perverse to admit all this 😂

But I’m glad I’m finally beginning to practice what I preach (helping people relax, slow down and all that jazz and not being able to do it yourself - a bit hypocritical, ain’t it?😜) and to learn a different way cause the hustle ain't it. No more 🙅🏻‍♀️

(…Or perhaps I'm just getting old 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️)

Xxx

PS more in the October love letter :)

I’m not a huge fan of „woo-woo” rituals.

Love me an oracle card and meditation is life…

…but altars, crystals, talking sticks and all the Goddess talk, while beautiful, can feel like a bit much sometimes. 😉

It’s great to have a little magic in our life, for sure.

But creating this veil of mystery & witchcraft around a women’s gathering can make it feel pretty detached from real life (and scare away those who need it most!).

Half of the women at yesterday's Circle have never been to one before.

We laughed (and some of us cried😜), shared (as much as felt good!) and discussed communication (topic inspired by my recent faux-pas with a client - you know who you are;)) while sipping on the beautiful “feminine wāhine” cacao blend.

There were meditative moments and some chit chat. Sacrum and profanum ;)

We don’t need to be “spiritual” to come to and enjoy (or even host) a women’s circle.

We don’t need rites and rituals to foster mindfulness and meaningful connection with ourselves and others.

We don’t need to be witches to continue their beautiful tradition of women gathering together to “share energy and pray together and heal” (Marianne Williamson) 💕

Big thanks to everyone who helped make it happen 🙏 & all the beautiful Wāhine that joined! See you at the next one 🙃✨

P.S. It’s absolutely not my intention to criticise your most sacred practices 💕 what I feel strongly about is making them more accessible 🙏✨
